Urodynamics Laboratory

Our Urodynamics Laboratory provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning for patients experiencing urinary dysfunction associated with neurological conditions, including spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, myelomeningocele, and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Using computerized urodynamic testing systems, our laboratory evaluates lower urinary tract dysfunction by assessing the bladder's ability to store and empty urine.

Urodynamic studies play an important role in the diagnosis and management of urinary disorders and help guide treatment strategies aimed at preventing complications such as urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and kidney dysfunction, which may significantly affect patients' quality of life and long-term health.

Laboratory Equipment and Quality Standards

Our Urodynamics Laboratory is equipped with advanced diagnostic systems, including catheters, transducers, and other specialized devices, designed to meet the technical requirements outlined in international clinical guidelines.

The performance of our laboratory equipment is regularly monitored, and urodynamic systems are calibrated in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and relevant international standards to ensure reliable and accurate diagnostic measurements.

Urodynamic Assessment and Diagnostic Procedures

Following a comprehensive neurourological history, physical examination, and neurological assessment, our laboratory performs various urodynamic investigations, including:

  • Uroflowmetry

  • Filling Cystometry

  • Filling Cystometry with Electromyography (EMG)

  • Pressure-Flow Studies with Electromyography (EMG)

These diagnostic procedures enable detailed evaluation of bladder storage and emptying functions, supporting individualized treatment planning for patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction.
