To facilitate each child's transition from hospital care to home, school, and community life, families receive education, guidance, and individualized home-based rehabilitation programs.
Our Goals and Objectives
As the Pediatric Rehabilitation Team, our primary objectives are to:
Improve children's physical and cognitive functioning
Prevent or minimize secondary disabilities and complications
Promote independence in activities of daily living
Support functional recovery and development
Facilitate active participation in family, school, and community life
Improve overall quality of life
Through individualized and multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs, we aim to help children achieve their highest possible level of functional independence and social participation.
Hospital Classroom
Our clinic includes a dedicated Hospital Classroom, where a classroom teacher provides educational and developmental support for children requiring prolonged hospitalization.
This educational environment enables children to interact with their peers and participate in various activities and games that support their cognitive, physical, and social development during hospitalization.
Multidisciplinary Clinical Activities
Our Pediatric Rehabilitation Multidisciplinary Team Meeting is held regularly every Tuesday between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM, with the participation of specialists from Pediatric Neurology, Orthopedics, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
During these meetings, patients are evaluated through a multidisciplinary approach, and individualized treatment plans are developed according to their clinical needs.
Botulinum toxin injections, when included in the treatment plan, are administered during the week.
Our clinic also performs intrathecal baclofen screening tests in appropriately selected patients.
When the test results indicate a favorable response and the patient is considered suitable for treatment, surgical implantation of an intrathecal baclofen pump is performed by the Neurosurgery Department.
